My Integrative Approach

I combine evidence-based psychiatric care with integrative principles that address the whole person — mind, body, and life circumstances. This personalized approach considers biological, psychological, social, lifestyle, and environmental factors that influence mental health. Treatment plans may include medication management when appropriate, psychotherapy (including CBT, insight-oriented, and CPT for PTSD), mindfulness practices, and supportive holistic strategies.

Professional Background

Board-certified in Adult Psychiatry, I earned my MD from Wake Forest School of Medicine and completed residency and Chief Resident year at St. Vincent’s Hospital / New York Medical College. With over 20 years in clinical practice, I have worked in integrated primary care, academic, VA, and private settings. I previously served as staff psychiatrist at Lifestance Health and Palo Alto Medical Foundation, and at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System supervising residents and medical students. I am also the author of peer-reviewed research on collaborative care for depression and obesity.
